NATA 2025 Exam Pattern

Knowing the NATA 2025 exam format is essential for successful preparation. The test is split in two parts that test both analytical and creative abilities:

  • Total Marks: 200

  • Duration: 3 hours (90 minutes per part)

  • Parts:

    • Part A (Drawing and Composition Test, 80 marks): Conducted offline the test consists of three questions about composition, sketching, color, the composition (black as well as white) and 3D composition. It tests the creativity in proportion, visualization, and abilities.

    • Part B (Aptitude Test, 120 marks): Conducted online, this section includes 50 questions (MCQs, MSQs, PCQs, and NAQs) on visual reasoning, logical derivation, general knowledge (architecture-related), design sensitivity, and numerical ability.

  • Marking Scheme:

    • Part A Three questions (marks differ based on the level of difficulty).

    • Part B: 75 questions (1 mark each), 25 questions (2 marks each), 25 questions (3 marks each).

    • No negative marking.

  • Medium: English and Hindi

  • Mode: Part A (offline), Part B (online)

  • Qualifying Marks: Minimum 70/200 (20 in Part A, 30 in Part B)

The test is held in the 61 cities of India Test centers are determined by the preference of the candidates. Candidates are able to take NATA at least three times. The most impressive score is taken into consideration to be the best candidate for admission.
